Have you had your eyes tested recently but the optician wouldn’t give you your Pupillary Distance?
Currently, under the General Optical Council regulations opticians are only obliged to provide its patients with prescription details including Sphere, Cylinder, Axis and Add values, the optician does not have to record and provide you with your PD measurement on your prescription form even though it takes them just seconds while carrying out the sight test.
We’re currently supporting a campaign to get these regulations changed so opticians HAVE to provide you with your full prescription including your PD measurement giving you the freedom to buy glasses from a glasses retailer of your choice rather than the optician that gave your your eye test.
