SelectSpecs were judged to be one of the Top Five Websites in Kent by judges from Google, Chamber of Commerce and Business Link Kent in The 2009 Ecommerce in Kent Awards sponsored by The ICELAB Ltd. Judges were looking at a number of key factors such as Design, Look & Feel / Originality / Ease of Use / Use of Technology / Security / Copywriting.

Alan Noake complemented our use of Social Networking, saying that our use of services and tools such as our blog, twitter and facebook were a good example to the competition.

It was really good to finally meet the competition who were all really nice, and it was great to see such a mix of different websites in the final list.  There really was something for everyone.  Congratulations though must go to Ecorium who picked up the top prize, you deserved it.

I can’t end this post without giving a bit of a mention to the competition though.  It was lovely to meet the people behind the other sites, such as Ru from BoudoirBabe who has a little website selling fab and funky gifts, ideal for weddings, christenings, or any occasion really, Order Online Now for fans of eating out, and Fluppet.  Sadly no one from Discover Folkestone was able to attend.

Thanks again to anyone who voted for us, we received the comments and feedback today from everyone who voted and it was lovely to read some of the positive comments you made about us, so thank you very much, you are all too kind.
